Greetings from Toronto. The land of the maple leaf...

The wife took that photo a few weeks ago. Looks altered but it's not. Huh, but I like it.
Weird situation here at the hotel in Toronto. 3:15 am the fire alarm blew. Here on the 26th floor it took quite a bit of decision making to figure out what to do. 26 floors of stairs are not taken easily at 3am. Looking out the window odd tones of 9/11 took hold and I was out the door very quickly. Weird 9/11 thoughts going down the stair well with probably 300 other people and firemen in full garb heading up. Luckily there was no fire but quite a lot to think about.
Seeing a bunch of people in their bathrobes and then climbing back up the 26 floors (the elevator queue was not working for me) soon led to other thoughts (perhaps a spare boob popping out or maybe having a heart attack...) took over and it was slowly back to sleep.
The travel mania continues....Wisco this weekend then November in NYC only to head to UK and Europe at the end of the month. On we go....

So what's happening? That's the question I'm asking myself...and the answer: fuck all. This is a perfect time to elicit the old addage: all work and no play makes stevie a boring boy. I need a vacation, or perhaps a permanent change of venue. I'm feelin' California or maybe Guatamala. Lies. I'm actually feeling Pennsylvania or North Dakota and that ey no good mang. To quote the Little River Band, "time for a cool change" (in case you were wondering,
the #29 song in Canada in November 1979).
Maybe I'm just having a little case of the "post exotic business trip blues" but inspiration, not to mention energy and excitement, are at recent lows. There's (a lot) more to it but as a favorite
webster and pseudo-guru has recently explained, this isn't the place. Then again, I could totally flame my employer online and hope to get canned. Nah, not my style. Plus I tried it with the last job and I ended up getting promoted. Go figure.
Ahhight, enough belly aching....peace out.
