Three weddings down, one more to go in 2003! My man Curt Cash (fellow Pennsyltuckian transplanted to LA) and his wonderful wife Janice formally tied the knot in a very cute church outside of Buffalo. It was great to see Curt and Janice as well as all the old PA homeys who had fallen off the radar screen. Now they're back on...a very good thing. One oddity of this wedding...the reception was IN the church. And this was no cake and cookies reception...open bar for 4 hours. At one point I actually had to stop the wife from wondering into the sanctuary with a topped off gin and tonic. Don't get me wrong, I'm no saint (HA!) but something about this alcoholic church is wacked. Did that stop me from embibing? Be real...

I shared the Skycam demos with the PA homeys and they seemed to dig it. They also had a bunch of ideas about marketing and publicity including CMJ and licensing. Surely a pipe dream but if this material is as good as I (we) think it is...could be on to something. Stay tuned...

While in Buffalo, the wife and I took in some original Buffalo wings, spent some time in good ol' Canada (eh!) and gandered at Niagara Falls. In a prior life I used to spend about 2 months a year in Buffalo so it was really nice to get back up there with the wife and visit some of the old digs.

So here we go....three weddings down, one to go!

Ah, the clarity a really wild weekend brings! The hurricane never came to NYC but my man Batista and I still found a way to celebrate it's arrival Thursday night at Boogaloo in Williamsburg. Groovy place and pretty darn friendly considering the scene. Luckily I was still in post-business trip status at the office so I was able to "work from home" (the biggest scam of the 21st century) most of the day on Friday and recover just in time for my old mate Paul's bachelor party. As bachelor parties go, this one would rate highly civilized but we did suck down many beers, excessive amounts of meat and spent some time with Hell's Angels and women behaving badly. A good time was had by one and all. The wife was off with another bunch of friends celebrating our friend Steve's birthday at Lotus. I had hoped to hook up with her there post bachelor action but we never hooked up...and that leads to another story which will go unpublished.

Finally back home. Had a great time in Portland though. A fair amount of that had to do with my upgrade suite at the Heathman. It was my first time to Portland and it reminds me of a much smaller Seattle...actually maybe more a miniature SF as I really didn't get that hardcore sprout eater/tree hugger vibe that I get in Seattle. I thoroughly enjoyed it though.

I'm at home today waiting for the 'cane to arrive. Getting pretty windy already. Here in NYC we should be pretty well north of most of the craziness but should get crazy enough to call for a CANE party...IF you know what I'm sayin ; )

This little junket to southern California has turned out pretty sweet. Thursday night I was able to get together with my dear old friend Michael Seman and his lovely wife Jennifer. Mike and I went out and had a few beers in Hollywood at the infamous Barney's Beanery (evidently Janice Joplin once crashed a whiskey bottle over Jim Morrison's head there) and then shared a few drinks with Jennifer while listening to their new material (Shiny Around the Edges). It was great to catch up with these guys even if by the end of the night I had a bad case of oral diarrhea and TMI (disclosing way too much info about NYC party times...err substances...).

Now, it's off to Portland with the boss. A night of microbrews tonite and then more dog and pony demo monkey action for Blackwell's.

Can't wait to get home to my beautiful new wife. Much love.

Somebody kill me, please. Or am I already dead and in hell. Greetings from the inland empire. Rancho Cucarocha to be exact. Ugh. Upside, nice folks at the show with whom to chat. Other upside, met a super cute rep from another vendor and proceeded to stare at her endlessly for the remainder of the day. Beautiful. But yeah, I'm sure she thinks I'm psychotic.

On to Fontana tomorrow and the thrill of the week on Thursday....Riverside, crystal meth capital of the world!

Greetings from Los Angeles. I'm here for a 10 tour acting as new media demo monkey. Careful what you wish for or your employer may decide that a week in southern California is in order. And then to boot, I have to go to Portland on the 15th to continue my demo monkey duties. Oh well, I'll get a chance to chill with my left coast homeys and I've got next weekend to myself with a Calla show on Friday night at Spaceland.

So, West Hollywood tonite, Santa Clarita tomorrow...then it's off to the real fun. Fontana, Riverside...ugh.
