Welcome to the inner circle.

now on with the mission...

Back in the realm of Dilbert today after a long weekend...a piece of which was spent in Pennsylvania. We'll call it the 40 hour white trash tour of Pennsyltuckey, an anthropological outting. Crucial elements to any white trash tour of Pennsyltuckey:

* Bottom feeders of some sort.
* OTB
* Learning that one of your age old loyalists is desperately in need of medically assisted detox.

On the last point, the names will be omitted to protect the guilty (and the author) but it's come to be known that the loyalist in question is consuming the following every 7 days: 5 liters of rum, 1+ carton of cigarettes, 1/4 oz. of low grade mexican dirt weed. And that's not even bringing up the over budget go-go bars or the cocaine. This exceeds any cult standard of debauchery, self-indulgence and levels of addiction. This cat needs an intervention or a coffin...but that has to be left to the blood. The cult cannot be responsible or witness to such destructive behavior therefore he has been cast out of the inner circle.

The OTB was surprisingly fun. It's good way to get fully immersed in the white trash flavor...flat beer, bright flourescent lights and all the blasts from the past (this time it was a guy I went to 10th grade with...and his entire family). And the cigar smoke. We in NYC and other non-smoking strongholds actually appreciate a little second hand smoke from time to time. The wife was the big winner at $24.80 in profits. The rest of us were all losers. And I mean losers....

I've discovered the Mosquitos and Juju Stulbach. It's rather indulgent pop but she's amazing. Much love. I met a girl named Juju...i met a girl named juju...

Today I realized that I hold a full time job which only really requires a part attention to master. Not bad, I guess. Actually, it sucks. Breeds apathy and complacency and then comes pay day....it's all a major karma burn. I'll probably come back as a mail man or something after this job. I really want to be the dude who drives around the park in a golf cart collecting the garbage bags from the cans. To dream.

Where does the culinary world tour take us tonite? Ethiopia

Ok, so this will be a continuous work in progress but all in all, the mission here will follow the basic definition of blog. I will log things and happenings that are part and parcel of the cultofsteve. That's it for now and we'll check back in a month or 30 and see where this goes.
